Chapter 4: Julian’s Panic

Julian tried everything.
He called. He texted. He even showed up at the penthouse with his lawyers.
Eleanor’s security turned him away every time.
When he finally got through on the phone, his voice was desperate.
“Clara, this is insane. You can’t just disappear with that woman. We need to talk about the divorce. The baby—”
I cut him off.
“There is no ‘we’ anymore, Julian. And you made it very clear you didn’t want this baby.”
He tried to backtrack.
“I was angry. I didn’t mean it. We can work this out. Think about the child—”
I hung up.

“He will pay for what he tried to do to you,” she said calmly. “Both of you.”
