Chapter 6 - The Hamptons Raid

By 0900 hours the following morning, a convoy of four unmarked police cruisers and two black SUVs pulled up to the driveway of the Hamptons estate.
Sophia opened the front door wearing a silk robe, holding a cup of coffee, expecting her legal team. Instead, she was met by Detective Rodriguez of the NYPD, two forensic technicians, and Andrew, flanked by Sarah Sterling.
"Sophia Salgado," Detective Rodriguez announced, holding up a search warrant signed by a Supreme Court judge. "We are executing a search warrant for evidence related to felony child abuse, assault, and unlawful imprisonment."
Sophia’s coffee cup slipped from her hand, shattering on the stone entrance steps. "What?! This is ridiculous! Andrew manufactured this! He’s crazy!"
"Step aside, ma'am," Detective Rodriguez ordered coldly.
Forensic officers pushed past her, heading straight for Valerie’s bedroom, the kitchen pantry where food had been locked away, and the master study.
Marcus, Andrew’s security chief, walked straight to the hidden electrical panel in the basement.
"She thinks she deleted the internal security camera logs from the cloud network last night, Boss," Marcus said, pulling a specialized hardware drive from his jacket. "She didn't realize the estate's primary server maintains a mirrored physical hard drive inside the fireproof wall safe."
Ten minutes later, Marcus extracted the physical drive and plugged it into a portable laptop on the kitchen island.
Detective Rodriguez stared at the monitor in absolute disgust.

The unedited, high-definition video captured Sophia grabbing Valerie by her ponytail, dragging her into the pantry, locking her inside for twelve hours in pitch darkness, and laughing as the little girl begged for a glass of water.
"That’s enough," Detective Rodriguez hissed, turning to his officers. "Handcuff her."
