With the diner expanding, we needed a new roof for the patio extension. That’s how we met David.
David was a local contractor—a quiet, kind man with calloused hands and a quick, easy smile. He didn't wear tailored Italian suits or drive a luxury sedan. He drove a battered Ford truck and drank his coffee black.
He came in every morning to discuss the patio plans, but he always ended up staying an extra hour just to talk to Hannah.
