Chapter 55 - The Unbreakable Foundation

Victor signed everything. With trembling hands and a broken spirit, he signed away his leverage, his trust, and his power.
Three hours later, I walked back into the diner. The sun was setting, casting a warm, orange glow over Elm Street. The construction barricades were already being dismantled by a crew Arthur had hired.
Hannah was waiting by the door. When she saw me walk in, completely unharmed and holding the legal documents, she burst into tears, running forward and throwing her arms around my neck.
"It's over," I whispered, holding my daughter tightly. "He’s gone. The trust is dissolved. The building is officially yours, Hannah."
David walked out of the kitchen, a massive, relieved smile breaking across his bruised face. He wrapped his arms around both of us, a silent, powerful anchor of support.
I walked over to the booth where Maya was sleeping in her carrier. The chaos, the violence, the absolute terror of the last forty-eight hours had entirely bypassed her. She was breathing softly, her tiny hands curled into fists, dreaming in perfect safety.
The generational curse wasn't just dead; it had been incinerated. The monsters had tried to crawl back from the dark to claim our future, but they had fundamentally misunderstood the reality of the women they were dealing with.
We were not victims. We were the architects of a fortress.
I turned back to the kitchen, picking up the broom to sweep away the last remaining shards of broken glass from the floor.

"Let's get this place cleaned up," I smiled at Hannah and David. "We have a business to run."
