Chapter 1: The Bridal Boutique Bloodshed

The opulent bridal suite was supposed to be a place of joy, but the air was thick with malice. Lydia was a young girl wearing a white wedding dress. She stood towering over Eleanor, her future mother-in-law. Eleanor was an older woman who wore a cardigan and brown pants. The pristine white tiles of the floor contrasted sharply with the darkness brewing in Lydia’s eyes.

Without warning, Lydia lunged. She grabbed the old woman's collar and shoulders and pushed her aggressively. The struggle was violent and brief. The old woman's cane fell and rolled across the floor.

"Get your hands off me!" the old woman screamed, terrified.

Lydia didn't listen. She shoved the elderly woman so hard that she fell backward, crashing onto the tile floor. The old woman cried out in pain and held her head, clearly injured from the brutal impact.

Standing over her, Lydia’s face twisted in rage. "Where is money?!" she yelled.

At that exact moment, Grant, a young man in a navy suit, appeared at the doorway. He froze, his hands slightly raised in sheer shock at the horrific scene.

"Lydia!" Grant gasped.

Lydia whipped around, her demeanor changing instantly from vicious to vulnerable. "Grant! She attacked me!" she cried, feigning terror.

Eleanor, panting and clutching her chest on the floor, pointed a trembling finger at the bride. "She wanted my money..." she gasped out, desperate to expose the truth.

Tears streamed down Lydia’s face in a perfect performance. "She's confused! You have to believe me!" she pleaded.

But Grant’s shocked expression hardened into a cold, furious stare. He stepped into the room. "I know exactly..." he said, his voice dangerously low.
