Grant easily sidestepped her frantic attack. "I know about Vance, Lydia. I know about the debt. It's over. The police are already looking into your accounts."
Realizing she had lost, Lydia scrambled backward. Her eyes darted around like a trapped rat. Without another word, she turned and sprinted toward the nearby industrial district, disappearing into the labyrinth of abandoned warehouses. Grant, unwilling to let her escape justice, pursued her into the concrete maze.
