Chapter 11: Taking the Bait

Ten minutes later, Lydia burst out of the apartment building, clutching her purse tightly to her chest. Grant followed her from a safe distance. She drove erratically, running yellow lights in her haste to reach downtown.
She parked outside the First National Bank. Grant watched as she hurried inside, clutching the key she thought she had stolen from him without his knowledge. But Grant had set a trap. Before leaving his mother's house, he had switched the real safety deposit key with a similarly shaped brass key that belonged to a shed in the backyard.
